Yesterday we covered sigma notation, summation formulas, and Riemann sums. Today we continued to practice using sigma notation and summation formulas. Homework was a worksheet. Solutions will be posted later.
Today we learned how to estimate volumes using cylinders. Homework is p. 256 #20, 21, 24.
Today we learned how to use rectangles to approximate areas under curves. We practices using LRAM, RRAM, and MRAM. Homework is p. 255 #1,2,11. The solutions manual is linked via a button to the right of this post.
Today we reviewed for the final exam. Make sure you can do everything on the YSBAT (you should be able to) list! Also, KNOW your derivative rules!!
Today we tried some more related rate problems. Homework is p. 237 #16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 32, 34. Solutions available in the google folder.
Today we practiced solving related rates problems. Homework is p. 237 #2,4,7,8,10c, 12,14. Solutions are available in google drive.
Today we began related rate problems. There is no homework this weekend, other than finishing your project. Projects are due and will be presented next Wednesday!
Today we did some more optimization examples and then worked on problems on a worksheet. Homework is # 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13. Solutions are in the google folder.
Today we continued with more optimization examples. Homework is p. 214 #9, 13. You should also redo/finish any problems that you didn't get from last night's homework. Solutions available in the class folder.
Today we learned about optimization - how to model a given situation mathematically, and then find the max/min values that satisfied the conditions. Homework is p. 214-216 #2, 20-21, 25, 26, 28. Do your best to set up each problem and solve it. Don't forget to always start with a sketch of the situation and label all variables. Solutions are posted on google drive.
