Today you have a sub. Please view the presentation on finding the point where the tangent is horizontal that is in the Solutions/Notes folder. You also need to be able to identify situations where the tangent does not exist (which means that the function is not differentiable at that point). The presentation will take you through those two cases. Then use the rest of the class period to work on the review assignment (last slide), which is due on Wednesday. NO CALCULATORS ON THE REVIEW ASSIGNMENT!!! Really. Don't use your calculator. You will not get any more class time to work on this assignment so use your class time wisely. The solutions manual for chapter 2 can also be found in the chapter 2 folder. I am not going to post my solutions until Wednesday because I really want you to try these on your own first.
Tuesday we will have a group test, which will be similar to the actual exam (probably a bit harder than the actual test, but cover the same material). The group test will count as a quiz grade, so the more prepared you are, the better your group will do!
Wednesday we will review any concepts that you are still struggling with (and any concepts that you missed on the group test).
Thursday is your Chapter 2 exam. You may or may not be allowed to use your calculators, so be prepared to do all of these problems by hand!!
