EKeep reviewing for the AP Exam! Your exam is next TUesday, and your class final is this Thursday/Friday. Here are some videos to help you review: Electricity Review Kinematics Review Dynamics Review Work, Energy nad Power Review Linear Momentum and Impulse Review Rotational Kinematics Review Rotational Dynamics Universal Gravtitation Simple Harmonic Motion Review Waves Review Electrostatics Review Equations to Memorize Today we learned how to analyze circuits by combining resistors, and using Ohm's Law and Kirchoff's Laws to find current and voltage at various points. Homework is a worksheet. SOlutions to the worksheet are available here.
Yesterday we summarized our understanding of electric charges and their interactions, and learned Coulomb's Law.
Today we talked about electric field, electric potential, current, resistivity, resistance, and Ohm's Law. There is a lot to keep straight in this chapter...might I suggest FLASHCARDS! Make sure you are working on the webassigns. Today we saw several demos dealing with electrostatic forces and began to identify the patterns that we say. Tomorrow we will explain the patterns and learn how to calculate electrostatic force.
Make a video of you doing something physics related. Explain the physics in your video. Email the video to me no later than midnight Sunday April 16th for up to 10 extra credit points. The number of points depends on the quality of your physics explanation and originality of your video. You may work in a group.
Yesterday you received a review packet covering all of mechanics (all the topics that we have covered from the beginning of the year up to oscillations). The packet also contains a practice test for oscillations and waves. I will not collect the packet, but it is IN YOUR BEST INTEREST to review the concepts and make sure you are familiar with them! After break we will cover our remaining material (electrostatics and simple circuits), which we will complete just before the AP Exam on May 2. Enjoy your week off!
Today we talked about resonance, beats, and began looking at standing waves on strings and in tubes. We will finish talking about this tomorrow. NO QUIZ/TEST THIS WEEK!
The youtube video that we watched (how old are your ears) is here. Today we reviewed what we already knew about waves, and began talking about standing waves. Tomorrow we will talk about beats, and Doppler effect, which completes our waves unit. We will have our test on Oscillations and Waves on Thursday 4/6. I am having trouble posting the powerpoint. I will get it loaded ASAP.

Reminders:
Chapter 2 test retake is Wednesday 10/17. You can take the retest either before school or after school, but you must complete all of the Chapter 2 homework (75% completion on each assignment) to be eligible for a retake!
