I will also post a review assignment for the test next week. The review assignment has a mix of problems from this chapter.
Today we went over some of the homework problems from last night. I will be posting a free fall assignment on Webassign this weekend. You may not be able to do all of the problems yet (if you draw a picture and label what you know, you might be able to work your way through them). We will practice some more challenging problems together on Monday.

Today we talked about free fall. We worked some example problems together in class. Homework is a green worksheet. Please work as many problems as you need to feel comfortable that you understand this topic. Solutions to the worksheet are available in the class google drive folder.
Today we worked together to solve some of the tougher problems in the webassign problem set. The solutions to the problems we worked in class (as well as some other ones we didn't get to) are in the google drive folder.
We spent all period working on the webassign problems. Please email me if you are struggling with a problem. Please, please attempts 4 or 5 problems each night over the weekend. Bring your questions to school on Monday!!
Today we used the kinematics equations to solve some more complex problems. Solutions to the examples that we did during class are found in the google drive folder. You should begin working on the webassign problem set. It contains 20 problems so it is going to take time to complete them all. Try to work through 5-6 problems each night (they do not have to be in order). Come to class tomorrow with questions on any problems that confused you. #6 and #10 are CHALLENGING!
Our first exam will most likely be next Thursday 9/29. Today in class we worked on completing the back of the pink worksheet. Many students were absent due to the assembly, so we will continue working on the worksheet tomorrow in class.
Today we used our knowledge of position, velocity, and acceleration graphs to derive the 4 main kinematics equations. Then we practiced using the equations to solve problems. SOlutions to the problems are available on google drive.
Today we examined the position time graphs that you created for the marble on the inclined track. We talked about the difference between average velocity (slope between two points) and instantaneous velocity (slope of a line tangent to the graph at a specific point in time). We also talked about acceleration and how to calculate it. Tomorrow we will derive the kinematics equations for constant acceleration and begin using them.
Today you collected data so that you could graph position vs. time for a marble rolling down an inclined track. You should graph your data carefully. Make your graph as large as possible because we will be drawing lines and calculating slopes on the graph. Please make sure your graphs are complete when you come to class tomorrow.
Today was a work day to catch up on everything. We went over some of the webassign problems that were confusing, so you should be able to finish your webassign homework tonight. We also worked together on some constant velocity problems. Tomorrow we will do another lab.

Reminders:
Chapter 2 test retake is Wednesday 10/17. You can take the retest either before school or after school, but you must complete all of the Chapter 2 homework (75% completion on each assignment) to be eligible for a retake!
