Today we began talking about projectile motion and 2 dimensional kinematics. There was a lot of confusion in class, although it got better as we went through more examples. We will continue to do examples tomorrow to clear up any remaining confusion.
Today we quickly reviewed vector notation (polar form and component form) and then practiced resolving vectors into components, and then practiced adding vectors using components. There is a webassign for you to practice these concepts.
Today we learned how to write vectors in component form, and in polar form. We also learned how to add vectors graphically, and to add them using components. There is a webassign to practice these concepts.
Today we talked about vectors, reviewed some right triangle trig concepts, and learned how to find components of vectors. There is a new webassign with trig proglems.
Today was a waffle day. We made waffles and worked on test corrections for yesterday's test. Test corrections are due next Tuesday 10/10. You must submit test corrections if you want to keep your scaled score (otherwise your score is your raw percentage).
