Please graph your experimental data. you should have 3 graphs. From the first experiment you will have 1 graph of acceleration vs. force (force goes on the x-axis). From the second experiment, you will have two graphs. The first graph is acceleration vs. mass and the second graph is acceleration vs. 1/mass.
Some of you may be confused about how to make the last graph. You will create a new data column in your data table for the quantity 1/mass. For each row you will calculate 1/mass and fill in the data table (literally use your calculator to find 1 divided by the mass). Example data would look like this:
mass (kg) acceleration (m/s^2) 1/mass (kg^-1)
0.1 6.7 10
0.2 6.1 5
0.3 5.2 3.33
Then you would graph acceleration on the y-axis and 1/mass on the x-axis. If this doesn't make sense, we can talk about it in class tomorrow.
