Today we defined voltage and current, and learned to use Ohm's Law. Homework is p. 633 #1,2 (Focus on Concepts) and p. 634 #1-8. Note that #6-8 are challenge problems. Try them, but if you get frustrated, we will do them in class tomorrow.

Today we looked at different circuits and made predictions about the brightness of lightbulbs based on our understanding of current, and series and parallel wiring.
We are finishing up the black box lab. There are 7 black boxed for which you need to determine how the bulbs are wired and draw the circuit diagram. We should finish up this activity, which will count as a quiz, by the end of class tomorrow.
Today we worked on the last circuit inquiry - understanding the rules for how resistance affects current, and how current splits in different branches.
Today we attended a guest lecture on sustainability and ecology.
Today we began investigation #3 in electric current. We should be able to finish this investigation by Thursday.
