Your electrostatics quiz has been returned to you. If you are not happy with your score, you may do test corrections to earn back half of the points you lost. Test correction are due NO LATER THAN Tuesday 6/6. Late work will NOT be accepted. Your test corrections must show all of the work involved in correctly solving the problem, and must explain, IN TERMS OF PHYSICS, what mistakes/misconceptions you had in your original answer.

The Solutions to the Coulomb's Law WS are available in the google drive folder. The notes on Coulomb's Law are also available.
Yesterday we began learning about electric fields. You completed the "electric field tutorial" packet. Today we will finish discussing electric fields and do some practice problems (p. 563 #8.9.12.13.17 and p. 564-565 #29, 30, 32). Solutions are available in the google drive folder if you get stuck! Solutions to the electric charge problems are available here. Today we practiced finding the net electrostatic force acting on a particle. The worksheet is due on Wednesday.
Today we reviewed yesterday's homework (p. 563 #1,2,4,5 and pl 564 #1-6). If you did not complete the homework, finish it tonight and hand it in tomorrow. Then we did several electrostatic demos. No new homework tonight.
Today we started our unit on electrostatics. We talked about the interaction between charged objects, and what is happening when an object gets charged. No homework tonight.
Friday's quiz will cover the refraction/lenses unit. You should be familiar with index of refraction, Snell's Law, critical angles & total internal reflection, dispersion, and lenses (lens equation, magnification equation). I will give you all of the equations on the quiz.
