Today we finished analyzing the videos we made. Each person needs to have their own graph and answer the analysis questions. This is due tomorrow.

Today some groups finished up the "walking the graph" lab (aka dance party). Then we began an investigation on free fall.
Today more than half the class was missing due to Junior class meeting (3rd period) and Senior class meeting (2nd period), so we watched a Mythbusters episode that deals with our next topic - free fall.
Today we finished the motion detector lab. Tomorrow during 2nd and 3rd period many students will be gone due to class meetings (Seniors 2nd period, Juniors 3rd period) so we will just catch up on outstanding work.
Today we used the computers and motion detectors to create a graph of our motion as we walked. We will finish the lab on Monday.
Today we completed the problems on the back side of the worksheet. If you did not complete the problems in class, you should finish them for homework.
Today we solved kinematics problems on our whiteboards. If you did not complete the first 10 problems (ws#1 side only), then you should finish them for homework.
Today we derived the kinematics equations from our position vs. time and velocity vs. time graphs from our marble lab.
Today we practiced matching various representations of motion. We matched graphs to a corresponding verbal explanation (story), and then matched our graphs to a corresponding data table.
today we had a quiz and did not have time to do anything else. have a good weekend!
