The solutions to the homework check are available in google drive. If you have any questions while you are reviewing for Monday's test, please email me!

Today we did a graph matching activity, then we worked on a practice test for unit 1. The answers to the multiple choice questions are in the packet (there may be mistakes, let me know if you think you found one!). The solutions to the free response problems are in google drive.
The exam has been moved to Monday 10/2. Today we learned how to find area under a curve using integration. You should now be able to go from position to velocity to acceleration using derivatives, and also go back from acceleration to velocity to position using integration. Keep working on the webassign. I also handed out an extra practice worksheet for derivatives and integration. The solutions to the worksheet are available in google drive. (Note, there were some mistakes in the solutions, but I think I caught them all. Let me know if you find any mistakes that I missed)
Today we learned some simple calculus for physics. We learned that finding the slope of a curve is the same as finding the derivative of the curve. For those students who have not learned this in calculus (yet), there is a worksheet to help you practice, and there are some webassign problems available as well. Solutions to the worksheet are available in google drive.
Today we worked through some more free fall examples. These involved two objects. The solutions to the example problems are available in google drive.
Today we talked about free fall, and worked on some problems together. Solutions to the example problems are available in the google drive folder.
Today we worked in groups to solve kinematics problems. The solutions to the problems we worked in class are available on google drive. All solutions (including solutions to homework checks) are available by clicking the Solutions/Notes button on the right hand side of the screen.
If you like to read your textbook, we are current covering material in chapter 2 of your book (sections 2.1 thru 2.5). Today we practiced using the kinematics equations. We also did some practice problems involving the relationships between position, velocity, and acceleration graphs. There is a webassign to practice these concepts. You should start working on these problems - try 4 or 5 of them each evening.
Today we practiced solving problems using the kinematics equations that we derived last week. There is a webassign problem set available for you to practice.
Today we calculated the instantaneous velocity of the marble at a particular time by finding the slope of the line that is tangent to the graph at that time. We then graphed the velocity vs. time for the marble, and got a (mostly) linear fit. We derived the 4 kinematics equations from our graphs, but did not have time to do any problems.

REMINDERs:Chapter 2 test retake is Monday 10/15. You can take the retest either before school or after school, but you must complete all of the Chapter 2 homework (75% completion on each assignment) to be eligible for a retake!
Resources:Review videos - excellent videos covering all AP Physics C content.
